In their weekly opinion piece, The Conversation, in the New York Times, columnists Gail Collins and Bret Stephens discussed “A Presidency That’s Off the Rails. It Took Only Two Weeks.“

Of Presidential Cabinet appointments, the conservative, right leaning Bret Stephens wrote:

“ … both Gabbard and R.F.K. Jr. were … atrocious, abhorrent, anaphylactically abominable. The idea of having a director of national intelligence who for years was a leading apologist for dictators like Bashar al-Assad and traitors like Edward Snowden is hard to stomach. But maybe not as hard to stomach as a legal shakedown artist, conspiracy theorist and medical misinformer in charge of the American federal health system. So I guess my vote for worst nominee in U.S. cabinet history goes to Bobby Baby Chickens in the Blender K.”

While I applaud the use of atrocious, abhorrent, anaphylactically abominable I must point out that it is all part of the plan to keep our eyes on the bright and shiny object while Elon Musk is given the keys, without any objection, to the Treasury.

I was talking with a friend who has a sister who lives in Nova Scotia.

My friend told me that his sister says they now know what it is like to live in South Korea.

In the middle of the day, in bright sunlight, while everyone has been watching the bright, shiny object in the White House, the Government of the United States as been destroyed.

The triumph of the North, or the Union Army or Mr. Lincoln, make no mistake, was the triumph of the Federal Government and a strong Federal system of Government.

A system based on the concept that ‘all men are created equal.’

In the last 10 days, in surgical attacks that struck at the heart of this system, the Federal Government has been eviscerated.

We all have been had.

Do not kid yourself, there has been a coup.

This well coordinated assault has been in the works for years and folks who could see it coming, sounded the alarm but no one took it seriously.

With the focus focused on the bright shiny object in the White House no one seems to notice what happened and now I fear it is too late.

Think about this.

Think about the Civil Rights era in the south in the 1960’s?

Who came down south?

The Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The Federal United States Marshalls.

The Federal Department of JUSTICE.

Think that could happen today?

It is over folks, and I doubt there is any way back.

Take your eyes OFF the shiny object.

Watch as your ‘rights’ one by one, for everyone, are taken away.

While the King was looking down, the Jester stole his thorny crown.

And those three men I admire most?

They took the last train for the coast.

Back in 2008, in an interview with the Toronto Star, actor Brian Dennehy was asked about his legendary Tony Award-winning performances in Death of a Salesman and Long Day’s Journey Into Night, giving the credit to authors Arthur Miller and Eugene O’Neill.

The writer, Richard Ouzounian, Theatre Critic for the Star wrote that Mr. Dennehy ‘modestly explains when you walk with giants, you learn to take bigger steps.’

This country used to dream big dreams.

The birth certificate of this country starts out with the words, We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.

This country used to walk to with Giants.

This country learned to take bigger steps.

This country had big people with big dreams who walked with Giants and learned to take bigger steps.

This country today IS taking giant steps.

But giant steps backwards that are guided by such little giants.

where is the outrage?
where are the cops, courts, judges
sold? bought the rope too!

Not sure where to start.

But the fact that the new president issued an Executive Order to re-interpret the Constitution of the United States is as good a place to start as any.

If I speed down a road, breaking the law, I can expect to be pulled over by a cop, issued a ticket, go to Court and fined or worse for breaking the law.

This feller not only is speeding but speeding down the busiest most public street, most patrolled street in the world and no one tells him he can’t.

I cannot put into words the frustration over his middle finger to the document that allowed him to be in power along with the lack of any reaction.

It is all so perfect as he has already arranged a Supreme Court that says anything he does as president is not illegal.

Won’t the Supreme Court be surprised when he Executive Orders them out of existence.

On the other hand, is he doing anything he didn’t saw he would?

I sipped that koolaid that said what he was saying during the election ‘was all rhetoric.”

All he was saying was ‘was he needed to say to get elected.’

So much for that thinking.

Took all of about 4 hours for that possibility to prove false and I hold all those who held up this premise of ‘electoral rhetoric’ to justify giving him their vote responsible.

We are in a world of hurt here folks and no kidding.

I really really want to avoid the political world and right about word play and unique use of the English language.

It all seems so innocent.

Too innocent to waste my time on.

This latest age of innocence is over and the dark age is starting.

Lenin is supposed to have said something along the lines of, When the time comes to hand the western world, a capitalist will sell me the rope.

In this case folks, not only did we sell the rope to hand ourselves, we bought and paid for it as well.
